Talent Structure Promotion

 In the decade, talent structure of Chinese construction enterprises had made significant change. Once, most staff from the base of many construction enterprises was from technical schools and vocational schools, and directors grew up from the basic post gradually, who had rich experience but had relatively lower educational background. Nowadays, college degree and bachelor degree have become “a stepping-stone to success” for the most new technicians from large construction enterprises, and most young people are from domestic different colleges and universities. In the important technical posts in the level of enterprises, masters and doctors who major in engineering technology, such as, civil engineering, bridge construction, etc, can be found everywhere.

 The international certification qualification, such as the chartered royal bulider（CIOB）, International Certified Chartered Builder (ICCB), members of American Institute of Architects (FAIA) and International Project Management Professional( IPMP), etc. were relatively unfamiliar to most employees of domestic building trade ten years ago, however, nowadays, these internationally current “modern titles” have been seen in the business cards of directors from many domestic large construction enterprises, engineering companies and design companies.

 In order to expand further to overseas market, Chinese corporations need a batch of professionals who are familiar with game rules of international engineering project, professional knowledge, foreign languages, management and coordination ability. Besides financial aid and embassy items, Chinese corporations have increasingly participated in international public tender bid projects, such as, the large engineering projects invested and developed by the World Bank, Asian Development Bank and African Development Bank loan projects as well as local governments of countries and private owners. The construction mode and specification of these projects have largely followed the European and American standards or had obvious trace of European and American standards. Obtaining international qualification certification above, insiders of Chinese corporations have learnt, known and absorbed the rules of international engineering projects and also have expanded business and social resources at the same time. Nowadays, it is a very important foundational content of guaranteeing benign development of enterprises to bring the mechanism of training, encouraging and keeping excellent international project managers and professionals into enterprises’ “Twelfth Five-Year” talents planning.
